How Ghanian Comedian Who Got Customized Range Rover From Adebayor Won His Heart

It is no longer news that Togolese soccer ace, Emmanuel Adebayor bought an expensive customized Range Rover for Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face.
The Tottenham Hotspurs striker’s gift was in fulfillment of a promise made after the comedian’s small saloon car failed to start after attending Adebayor’s charity launch in June.

GHANAsoccernet.com brings to you a breakdown of how the wonderful relationship between the former Arsenal and Man City hitman and the renowned Ghanaian comedian and actor came about.
Funny Face was supposed to have traveled to Kumasi for the Star Soccer Fiesta (an annual charity event involving footballers and entertainment icons) by air due to a preceding show he had to attend.
He however ditched that show to join the road trip to Kumasi alongside the stars for the event held at the Baba Yara Stadium in June.
That decision would eventually prove to be one of the wisest if not the wisest decision ever made by the very popular comedian.
As a result, he traveled on a VIP bus to Kumasi through the Eastern Region of Ghana but more importantly, provided the opportunity to meet Emmanuel Adebayor for the first time.
On their first meeting, Funny Face struck a chord with the Tottenham forward as he couldn’t stop laughing at the jokes of the young comedian.
The Togolese star even handed him the keys to his posh Bentley of which after a 30-yard distance drive, a sweaty Funny Face emerged from the car and said: “My soul was telling me I will die if I keep driving this car, it is not meant for me.”
That was the final joke that nailed it for Funny Face, as Adebayor wasted no time at all in asking if he could be the MC for his charity launch at his residence the following week.
Funny Face accepted with no hesitation and added: “We won’t talk about money because I know it (money) is there!”
The Chorkor Trotro star ditched the VIP bus he traveled on to Kumasi for the more comfortable customized Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus with Adebayor where he was treated to exclusive array of expensive wines on the journey back to the capital.
It was a time of a lifetime and Funny Face wasted no time to savour the moment as he put his Blackberry phone straight to work in taking pictures. It was however to get better.
After thrilling guests and fans at the Adebayor Foundation Launch which lasted three days in Accra, Funny Face was left embarrassed as his Nissan car wouldn’t start before Adebayor himself who was full of laughter as he kept teasing.
Then he (Adebayor) said: “Funny don’t worry I will surprise you.”
Never in his (Funny Face) wildest dreams did he ever think the surprise which coincided with his birthday was to be a top of the range customized Range Rover with a beautiful inscription; ‘For Funny Face by SEA (Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor)’.

“I had tears in my eyes when I saw the car. I was absolutely speechless,” Funny Face told GHANAsoccernet.com
“That man (Adebayor) I just don’t know what to say but he is somebody who just have the appetite to help.
“I am waiting anxiously for the next Soccer Fiesta to see what I will get again because it has proved to be a very good hunting ground.”
The gift to Funny Face is just a little piece of serious charitable initiatives carried out by the 28-year-old in Ghana.
He last year commissioned two water projects in the Upper West Region aside footing the school and medical bills of hundreds who just cannot afford
